When All Else Fails, Use a Synonym

During Anna's Bible read aloud time tonight, she came across the word "mule." Every time she tried to say "mule" though, it sounded as if she was saying "meow." She truly sounded like a little kitten purring. Tim and I kept trying to help her pronounce it correctly but we both kept getting tickled. She was trying so hard but to no avail---"meow" just kept coming out---so finally with a sweet, weary voice she wisely asked, "Can I just say donkey instead?" :)

A Boy Who Loves His Dad

There are so many instances where I find John Caden attempting to be like his Dad. Such as playing his guitar "like Daddy..."

...or working on his laptop "like Daddy."

And this evening the evidence of how much he loves his Dad became irrefutable. This is what I found in his room...

Without me knowing, he had removed this picture from my nightstand and moved it to his!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Actually, if I could have included the sound with this picture you would hear a thousand different words being sung and a thousand different notes being played---all three were singing and playing their own songs at the same time. Poor Tim--be it at the piano or with his guitar, this is usually what happens when he attempts to practice songs for Sunday's worship service--both Anna and John Caden want to join in with him!

Childlike Faith

Looking out the window at the rain yesterday morning:
John Caden: "It snowing?"
Anna: "No, John Caden. We didn't ask for God to send us snow, silly! We prayed for Him to send us rain, so He's sending us rain to wash the pollen away."

"Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24
