Loosey Goosey

With a little help from our wonderful dentist, Anna's first baby tooth (which we have referred to as "Loosey Goosey" for many months now) is finally out!

Mother Daughter Tea

Anna and I had so much fun watching ballet performances, having tea and crumpets, dancing, and playing games at the Mother Daughter Tea hosted by her dance studio.  Anna's favorite part though was talking to this beautiful ballerina--she couldn't take her eyes off of her.

Two Things I love to See

My boy playing soccer with such a determined spirit.

My boy and my husband enjoying quiet moments of "just being together."
(I do wonder though what they talked about for so long as they just sat in the swings under the trees this evening).

Piano Companion

When the piano is being played in our home, you are sure to find Hudson right beneath it. This works out great for Anna--he's the perfect height to make a soft footrest for her dangling toes.

Field Trip: Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History

April 12 marked the 150th anniversary of the "Great Locomotive Chase." The Southern Museum offered free admission for the day and had the CSX Executive Train on display on the tracks.

Reflecting on the Cross

"I have indeed seen the misery of my people...So I have come down to rescue them..." Exodus 3:7-8
"They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head." Matthew 27:28-29
"But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

This, the pow’r of the cross: Christ became sin for us; took the blame, bore the wrath— we stand forgiven at the cross.
Oh, to see my name written in the wounds, For through Your suffering I am free. Death is crushed to death; Life is mine to live, Won through Your selfless love.
This, the pow’r of the cross: Son of God—slain for us. What a love! What a cost! We stand forgiven at the cross.
