That's a Boy for You

 

When I arrived home today in a compression boot after having an unexpected minor foot operation, John Caden became very solemn...he turned to Anna and in a very concerned, hushed voice asked, "Anna, who will cook our dinner for us?"

Tour of Gymnastics Champions

 

Anna and I had a special date night tonight...

   We went to the Gwinnet Arena...

 and watched the US Olympic Gymnast in their Welcome Home Tour.

 We met up with lots of gymnastics friends...

 some of which are definitely Olympic potentials themselves.

 Anna was thrilled to see her own coach.

Definitely a night to remember!

The Little Voice of Reason

While I was trying to get Anna to understand how to compute multi-digit addition squares today (the horizontal ones were throwing her off a little), John Caden, realizing that there was a much easier way to go about it, came over from his desk with a calculator in hand and said, "Anna, why don't you just use this?"



Samford Homecoming Weekend

Sixteen years ago, Tim and I met under this oak tree at Samford University.

 

 

 

We quickly became best friends and dated during our entire time at Samford. 

 

I'm not sure why Tim looks a little less than studly in those suit and tie pictures above. :) So I've included this Spring Break picture to convince myself that this is a more accurate reflection of how he really looked back then. :)

Just Couldn't Make It

Evidently John Caden must have thought that he would set up camp and sleep in his tent last night.  Somewhere along the way though, he must have realized that a soft bed would be much more comfortable than the hard floor, but from the looks of things, his decision to return to bed came a little too late.
