At five years of age, cutting grass with Dad is one of the highlights of John Caden's week. Tim is eagerly awaiting the day when John Caden will be the one behind the mower with the real motor and blade!

Thirsty Puppy Dog
For some reason, Hudson has an obsession with lapping up shower water. As soon he hears the shower water running, he sticks his tongue through a little crack that he has found under the door and drinks as if he's dying of thirst. We promise, we always keep his water bowl full! I guess he thinks this water fountain drinking method is much more fun.
Here's what he looks like from outside the shower.
And here's what he looks like from inside the shower. Notice his cute little puppy dog tongue sticking through!

We Never Know Where We'll Find Him
Ideally, this is where John Caden should fall asleep every night--in his own bed.
Or perhaps, even here bedside his bed is an acceptable location.
But oftentimes we end up having to search around the house to see where he snuck off to and fell asleep. Sometimes we find him on the couch in the living room...
Another time we found him outstretched in the playroom...
One of his favorite spots is on our bed...
But tonight's location takes the cake...he was right under Tim's chair in the den.

Fun Morning at Granna and Poppa's
Poppa cranked up his tractor and gave the kids a ride! I'm sure they'd say that he deserves the World's Greatest Poppa of the Day Award!

The Hound of Heaven
"Surely goodness and mercy shall pursue all the days of my life...
You can think goodness and mercy just follow you, but the Hebrew word for ‘follow’ is ‘radaph’ and it means 'to pursue, to run after, to chase' or, quite literally, 'to hunt you down.' The word radaph...is first found in Genesis 14, when Abram discovers that his nephew Lot has been kidnapped and Abram gathers an army of 318 men and 'pursued them unto Dan' (Genesis 14:14). The word ‘pursued’ there? It’s is ‘radaph.' Radaph! Chased!
The goodness and mercy of God isn’t just following after me placidly. The goodness and mercy of God pursues after me passionately...God is so bent on blessing, He chases.
God’s not out to get you — He’s out to give to you.
And God’s blessings don’t pursue temporarily — but relentlessly. It’s right there in His Word: His goodness and mercy pursue me not just some days — but all the days of my life. When I’m in a wilderness, His mercy and goodness run after me. When I’m hurting, His grace hunts for me. When I’m plagued by problems, His goodness pursues me.Whatever is chasing you — no matter what it looks like — it’s grace. And grace isn’t what makes us feel good: grace is all that makes us more like Jesus. No matter what is hounding, the Hound of Heaven is closer — His warm breath of blessing right there on the nape of my neck."
