Wrapping up the Atlanta United Season

It's been such a fun year being a part of Atlanta United's inaugural season...
As Granna stated, indeed the games have become John Caden's "Happy Place"...although I don't think he's been too happy about all the pictures I've made him stop and take...

We were part of MLS record attendance records...
We had the privilege of participating in a "behind the scenes" photoshoot...

We were able to meet lots of Atlanta United "celebrities" such as Darren Eales, President of Atlanta United, FC...
But I believe one of our most favorite memories will be of "Miss Cynthia"...

As Atlanta United season ticket holders, our family (particularly John Caden) came to look forward to seeing our section’s seat attendant (“Miss Cynthia”) at each game we attended. She always greeted him with a hug before the game and high-fives afterwards. Such a sweet friendship developed between these two as the season progressed due to her taking the time every game to take a personal interest in him--asking how his week was going, asking how his own soccer games had gone, etc. At one game in which we upgraded to Club seats and did not sit in our normal section, he requested that we still go up and see Miss Cynthia. We’re going to miss our visits with her now that the season has drawn to a close, but what a blessing it’s been to have had her friendly smile add a ray of sunshine to our lives over the past few months.

Club Level at Atlanta United

We were able to get a quick pic with the team captain (Michael Parkhurst) and had a great view from our front row midfield seats!

Love Her Heart for Others!

As posted on Cornerstone's Website...

Cornerstone 7th grader Anna Falkins took action to let the people in Houston know they are loved. Her efforts prove that one person can make a difference.

Big Shout Out to Anna Falkins for Stepping Out for Hurricane Harvey Victims

Seventh grader Anna Falkins had an idea to bless those who were displaced by Hurricane Harvey and are now living in shelters. Knowing that a kind and encouraging word is like balm for the soul, she asked her 7th grade classmates to join her in sending encouraging notes and letters to those living in shelters.
Thanks to her efforts, large envelopes of letters were recently mailed off to Houston.

Thank you, Anna, for your heart for others!
