Great, Great Aunts

What a blessing that my kids got to spend a little time at the home-site of these two special aunts today. When I was a little girl, one of the highlights of my summer was coming here to swim and fish for the week.

 

 

 

Heartthrob

When I received this pic of my handsome boy playing his guitar while I was at work today, my heart skipped a beat...such a little heartthrob he is!

 I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised when I arrived home and discovered that he has quite a fan club. 

 

Rescuing Bananas

Several months ago on our weekly grocery shopping trip to Publix, John Caden began insisting that instead of just grabbing a neatly put together banana bunch as I had been accustomed to doing, that we "rescue" the broken off ones that "nobody wants." This boy--he melts my heart. Needless to say, rescuing bananas has now become part of our weekly routine (and a great reminder of the gospel and how we have a Savior who "rescues the weak and needy." Psalm 82:4).

Looks like someone must have had a little too much turkey and couldn't keep all of his belly and hindquarters from hanging over.

How much do we love this guy? Evidently enough to sit out in the 30 degree weather and watch him play in two (not one, but two) soccer games. #brrrr #nomoredoubleheadersplease
