Sprucing it Up
Anna asked if she could color/decorate the cover of her new writing journal. Wow--the before and after results were quite astonishing! I'd definitely look more forward to writing in a journal with this beautiful cover rather than writing in a plain old boring white one!

100th Day of School
100 down, another 80 to go!
(Christina, this post is for you! I almost forgot to take a picture today, but then remembered that you were relying on me to make my annual 100th day post. So 100 days it is!)

World's Best Neighbors
I know I've said it before, but I can't help but say it again. We, seriously, have the best neighbors in the world. Yesterday morning, while having our annual Christmas breakfast together, John Caden, knowing that Mr. Steve loves the outdoor and wildlife, suggested that the two of them get together and watch Wild Kratts together sometime soon. Before the sun rose this morning John Caden started asking when we could text Mr. Steve to see if he was "available." With DVD in hand (and Tim and Miss Jennifer taking secret pictures behind him), thanks to Mr. Steve's graciousness, he headed over for an afternoon of Wild Kratts and popcorn (and homemade raspberry smoothie)! Steve and Jennifer--thanks for making his day! You truly are the best!

Camera Shy
Hudson plopped right down in front of the Christmas tree as if he wanted his picture made there. Perhaps he's seen some of the Christmas cards that we've received this year with the family dog posed in front of the tree? But when we got out the camera he tucked his chin and tail as if embarrassed and trotted away.
