Disney Post #1: "First Family of the Day"

"First Family of the Day" at Magic Kingdom

What an honor it was to be chosen as we arrived at the Magic Kingdom to "open up" the park!

We were given a private ride to the castle...

and had the opportunity to have our picture taken before the crowds were allowed to enter.   

We got to hang out with the opening crew backstage... 

and then were introduced and got to lead the countdown to the opening of the park.

Here's Mickey waving goodbye to our family. 

Anna enjoyed her one on one time with the Fairy Godmother.

We were then driven to our destination of choice in the fire engine.

 Our driver, Miss Barbara, was a hoot!  She sang the whole way to Fantasyland.   

 We had a Disney photographer following us during our special morning. 

We were also given a pass to be able to visit with Mickey later in the day.
