For several months we've enjoyed watching the Berry Eagle Cam and decided we'd go and see the eagles in person. Unfortunately, mommy and daddy eagle evidently decided that it was a nice afternoon to go away for a long flight. We waited and waited for several hours, had many incoming hawk false alarms, but finally decided that just getting glimpses of the eaglet with our binoculars would have to be good enough.
The yummy eagle cupcakes from the Honeymoon Bakery in Rome made it worth the drive!
