Boy Priorities
With tornado sirens blaring and emergency alerts going off on our phones, I told the kids to gather what they thought they'd need in case we had to make a run for it to the basement. Hmmm...soccer cleats and shin pads...not exactly the one thing I'd be grabbing if the house was going to be blown away, but evidently that's my boy's most valuable possession. And he took the time to box them up neatly to ensure they'd stay safe and sound!

No Fair Weather Fans Here
We were looking forward to an evening of soccer close to home last night...Atlanta United's first cup game being played out of KSU's Fifth Third Bank Stadium. We started out with dinner at Mellow Mushroom where we received 20% off for wearing our Atl Utd attire...Woohoo!
We arrived at the game 1 1/2 hours early to be able to watch their warm-up...
And then at precisely 7:29pm, one minute before the kick-off, a lightning delay/mandatory stadium evacuation was announced.
We waited and waited in the pouring down rain...
and finally the game kicked-off at 10:10pm! I'm guessing not many kids can say they've been to a midnight soccer match!
