With tornado sirens blaring and emergency alerts going off on our phones, I told the kids to gather what they thought they'd need in case we had to make a run for it to the basement. Hmmm...soccer cleats and shin pads...not exactly the one thing I'd be grabbing if the house was going to be blown away, but evidently that's my boy's most valuable possession. And he took the time to box them up neatly to ensure they'd stay safe and sound!
