I think she gets it!

Today at church while singing a song called "The Narrow Road," I leaned over and whispered to Anna that this song encourages us to walk in the ways of the Lord and do what's right in His eyes even if those around us choose not to. Her face lit up, her eyes and smile grew wide and she said, "Just like The Little Red Hen!" I knew exactly what she was talking about--we had just read The Little Red Hen this week and related it to Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." I returned her a smile just as big as her own. :)
